UITS is committed to producing students with godly convictions in the Christian Life. Standards of conduct are based on our desire to glorify God and on our mission to win lost people to the Savior. UITS takes a serious approach to development of a godly quality of character and self-disciple in each student’s life. Institution rules are developed based on Biblical principles of decent and orderly presentation of one’s self before mankind as a direct example of the Lord Jesus Christ.
A student’s personal relationship with Christ, as well as his witness before others, will be shown by abstaining from immodesty, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, profanity, and illegal gambling, all deteriorate a Christian’s testimony and, therefore are not permitted.
A student’s personal relationship with Christ is also shown in his moral values. Moral values are essential to scriptural obedience and successful Christian living. Accordingly, pornography, fornication, adultery, and homosexuality are not tolerated.
The Holy Bible, by precept and example, teaches the use of the structure we call INTERNSHIP. If properly conducted, this is the finest of all forms of teaching and training. The Lord placed Adam and Eve in an internship for the ultimate test of teaching and training; they failed. God the Father placed His Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in an internship, which became the ultimate test; He succeeded and, therefore, we can succeed in a properly conducted internship for appropriate goals for each of us qualified. Elijah used the internship, as did Barnabas with Paul, who later utilized it with Timothy and Titus. The following Scriptures are related: I John 4:1-21; Psalms 26:2; II Corinthians 13:5-11; II Peter 1 and 2, and Hebrews 4. Caleb and Joshua succeeded in an internship when all others in their generation failed. Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Adednego, Joseph and Paul are examples of internships earning the grade of “A.” In fact, Paul could say, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course. I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.” (II Timothy 4:7-8) University of Israel Theological Seminary [UITS] of course, can structure an internship for a relatively short period of time; however, a student who does well in it might thereafter do well in the internship of life.
